8/09/2008 | BENDIGO trainer Matthew Enright has his sights set on taking on the big boys in next month’s Caulfield Cup, after Majestical took out yesterday’s $100,000 Golden Mile at the Bendigo Jockey Club. Majestical, which has 50kg in the Caulfield Cup, will need to win a nice race in Melbourne to qualify for the Group One feature, but on yesterday’s run the son of Montjeu is heading places.
5/09/2008 | NASH Rawiller will make a flying visit to his hometown this weekend to celebrate the start of the Bendigo spring racing carnival. Rawiller will make a rare appearance at the Bendigo Jockey Club since moving to Sydney the best part of two years ago to join the Gai Waterhouse stable. Nash and the rest of the Rawiller family will be honoured at tomorrow night’s Bendigo Horse Of The Year Awards at Silks.

The Don Ritchie-trained pacer was solidly backed into odds-on favourite, but couldn’t hold off Western Australian raider Priscilla Rocks in the final 100 metres.
13/08/2008 | BENDIGO driver Daryl Douglas is one win away from equalling the Australasian harness racing record for most wins in a season. A win with Jemmas Glory at Geelong last night moved Douglas to 370 winners for the season, one behind Kerryn Manning’s record of 371 set in 2002-03.
